Measuring the impact of the technical department’s proximity
SustainabilityWe recently brought our technical department closer to our machining and assembly center — a strategic move that extends far beyond mere logistics.

We recently brought our technical department closer to our machining and assembly center — a strategic move that extends far beyond mere logistics.
This new configuration enhances our ability to test and validate products more rapidly and efficiently, while significantly reducing travel: approximately 25,000 fewer kilometers per year. That translates into a reduction of around 5,188 kg of CO₂ emissions annually (based on a 1.4L gasoline vehicle simulation). It also means 450 fewer hours spent on the road each year, contributing to greater team well-being and a more balanced, thoughtful approach to operations.
It’s a clear example of how sustainability and operational efficiency can go hand in hand — a shift driven by purpose and long-term vision. Because building the future also means taking responsibility for the present.
This initiative aligns closely with key trends shaping the future of modern industry and responsible business:
- Decarbonization of operations: In line with global climate goals and Net Zero targets, reducing transport-related emissions is a crucial step toward more sustainable value chains. Companies are increasingly expected to actively track and minimize their environmental impact — and this shift delivers exactly that.
- Industry 4.0 and vertical integration: By bringing technical and production teams physically closer, we foster faster feedback loops, more agile product iterations, and a tighter connection between design and execution. This mirrors the broader trend of smart, integrated manufacturing ecosystems
- Employee well-being and human-centered design: Less time spent commuting translates to improved work-life balance and overall job satisfaction. Forward-thinking companies are now placing people at the heart of operational decisions — recognizing that employee well-being is directly linked to productivity and innovation.
- ESG and responsible leadership: Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria are increasingly becoming central to stakeholder expectations. Every move that reduces emissions and improves working conditions reflects a deeper corporate responsibility and long-term sustainability mindset.
Shaping the Future with responsibly
This strategic reconfiguration demonstrates how even seemingly small changes can lead to measurable environmental, operational, and human impacts. As we continue to evolve, we remain committed to building a future rooted in innovation, efficiency, and environmental awareness — because progress is only meaningful when it’s sustainable.
